He has broken some of the biggest stories of the recent era, including a series of deeply-reported stories on President Trump’s final days in office that have been cited repeatedly in Congress and served as a first draft of history. His podcast accompanying that series, “How it Happened,” hit number one on the Apple charts.

As the star of Axios’ HBO show, Swan has interviewed global leaders including President Donald Trump—an astonishing interview seen and shared by more than 100 million people for which Swan received an Emmy Award, as well as the 2022 Aldo Beckman Award for Overall Excellence in White House Coverage—Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Director General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Iraq’s President Barham Salih, and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. Geopolitical Pressures Around the Globe

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations
    Nikki Haley

Nikki Haley is the former United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations. She served as a member of the National Security Council and President Donald Trump’s Cabinet, breaking ground as the first Indian-American woman to hold a cabinet-level position.

Born in Bamberg, South Carolina to Indian immigrant parents, Ambassador Haley learned the value of hard work from a young age. After graduating from Clemson University, she worked in accounting and later rejoined her family’s business. Soon after, Haley made the transition into politics and achieved many firsts in her career.

After serving as Representative of South Carolina’s District 87, she became the first minority, and first woman, to serve as Governor of South Carolina. As the state’s commander in chief, then-Governor Haley led the state through some of its most difficult periods, forging unity in the wake of multiple tragic shootings and natural disasters.

In 2017 she was confirmed as the country’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. There, Ambassador Haley introduced reforms that made the organization more efficient, transparent, and accountable. She worked to defend Americans’ interests, bolster our nation’s safety, and championed human rights across the globe—hosting the UN Security Council’s first-ever session devoted solely to promoting human rights.
